[What the role is]
The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s central bank and integrated financial regulator.
As central bank, MAS promotes sustained, non-inflationary economic growth through the conduct of monetary policy and close macroeconomic surveillance and analysis. It manages Singapore\xe2\x80\x99s exchange rate, official foreign reserves, and liquidity in the banking sector.
As an integrated financial supervisor, MAS fosters a sound financial services sector through its prudential oversight of all financial institutions in Singapore \xe2\x80\x93 banks, insurers, capital market intermediaries, financial advisors, and stock exchanges. It is also responsible for well-functioning financial markets, sound conduct, and investor education.
MAS also works with the financial industry to promote Singapore as a dynamic international financial centre. It facilitates the development of infrastructure, adoption of technology, and upgrading of skills in the financial industry.

[What you will be working on]
You will investigate offences and regulatory breaches of the Financial Advisers Act and the Securities and Futures Act. As a member of the MAS-CAD joint investigation arrangement, you will be gazetted as a Commercial Affairs Officer with criminal investigative power. You can expect to be challenged intellectually and professionally as you work closely with other investigators, surveillance and computer forensic officers, legal officers to carry out investigations. You will provide litigation support in prosecution, civil penalty court action and regulatory appeals. You will gain insight into how the capital markets participants operate and the rules and regulations at play, as you play an important role in MAS\' enforcement regime of the capital markets.
