What the role is:A*STAR Human Resource (HR) Division\'s vision is to develop all staff to their fullest potential and to help them make meaningful contributions to the organisation and to Singapore. A*STAR HR aspires to provide valued HR services to attract, develop, motivate and retain the best talent to help A*STAR achieve its mission. The HR Division comprises of the Recruitment, Planning & Policy, Analytics & Transformation, HR Operations, Talent Management and HR Partners departments. The HR Planning and Policy department drives the strategic planning of manpower and talent needs in A*STAR and oversees the development of HR policies to ensure market relevance and competitiveness.What you will be working on:As Deputy Director, you will have the opportunity to be involved in the following key areas of work: \xe2\x80\xa2 Drive the formulation and development of HR strategies, policies and governance frameworks to meet organisational needs, keep pace with the market and ensure alignment with national directives. \xe2\x80\xa2 Oversee the implementation of policies and frameworks and ensure effective communication of changes to policies. \xe2\x80\xa2 Partner business units to understand business and workforce requirements and develop workforce plans to meet these demands, in line with A*STAR\'s manpower strategy. \xe2\x80\xa2 Lead the team to identify gaps, highlight key trends and advise senior management and stakeholders on resource planning options; plan and monitor manpower movements within the organisation. \xe2\x80\xa2 Guide the team in co-creating solutions with stakeholders to resolve issues and challenges in manpower planning.What we are looking for:Job Requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 8 years of relevant experience in HR, preferable with strategic workforce planning and policy experience. \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong strategic and analytical thinking skills, good quantitative skills with fundamental understanding of analytics \xe2\x80\xa2 Excellent communication (written and verbal) skills with the ability to translate concepts into implementation plans \xe2\x80\xa2 Resourceful and motivated \xe2\x80\xa2 Able to work independently and in a team to deliver results under tight timelines \xe2\x80\xa2 Pro-active, attentive to details and results-oriented The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive.
