We invite adult learning practitioners who are proficient in curriculum development to join us.For more information on Singapore University of Social Sciences and Institute for Adult Learning, please visit or .About The RoleThe Deputy Director (Research & Analytics) of Office for Skills-First Practices will play a key role in leading research initiatives, analysing data, and providing strategic insights to drive decision-making. The role also entails budget management and staff supervision.

• Assist the Director in developing and implementing the Office\'s research agenda and strategic priorities, including identifying the research needs of stakeholders.
• Lead research and analytics projects from conception to completion, including study design, data collection, analysis, and reporting.
• Oversee quantitative and qualitative analyses of data sets using statistical software and other tools.
• Interpret research findings and translate them into actionable insights and recommendations for programmatic and policy decisions.
• Plan and organise research-related events to solicit input and/or disseminate research findings to targeted audiences.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the research and analytics projects through stakeholder feedback, project evaluations and other assessment methods.
• Bid for competitive research projects.
• Oversee a team of researchers and analysts, providing guidance, mentorship, and support to ensure high-quality work.
• Manage relationships with global research partners, consultants and vendors as needed.
• Assist the Director in managing the Office\'s budget for research and analytics projects.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and policies governing the Office\'s operations.
• Stay current with trends and developments in skills-first initiatives and practices.
• Drive capability development in research and analytics for relevant Office staff.
• Champion an innovative and caring work culture.

Job Requirements

• At least two years of experience in a senior management role.
• At least ten years of stint in a research or analytics unit that addresses social science research questions over the last six years.
• Strong in quantitative research.
• Experience in using data analytics and data science methods to conduct analysis.
• Strong organisational and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with diverse stakeholders.
• The successful appointee will be based in IAL Campus located at Lifelong Learning Institute at Paya Lebar.
