What the role is:You will be practicing law in the unique field of intelligence, and dealing with governance matters within an intelligence organisationWhat you will be working on:

• Advise SID on its legal rights, liabilities, and risks \xe2\x80\xa2 Advise SID on relevant comparative law \xe2\x80\xa2 Assess trends in legal issues relevant to an intelligence organisation \xe2\x80\xa2 Review SID\'s internal policies and practices \xe2\x80\xa2 Provide technical and strategic leadership for a team \xe2\x80\xa2 Design and implement workplace processes, with future trends and needs in mind \xe2\x80\xa2 Plan and guide your team\'s professional growth, in both general and technical areas \xe2\x80\xa2 Build good relations and workflows with internal and external stakeholders \xe2\x80\xa2 Mentor and develop junior team members to maximise their potential What you will gain: \xe2\x80\xa2 Deep expertise on international and domestic legal trends and issues through exposure to a wide range of projects \xe2\x80\xa2 Communication and stakeholder management skills through working in multi-disciplinary teams \xe2\x80\xa2 Understanding of the Singapore and global policy landscape on intelligence trends and issues, and engagement with decision-makers in related fields \xe2\x80\xa2 Analytical skills unique to an intelligence organisation

What we are looking for:

• At least 10-15 years\' post-qualification experience in private/public legal practice, with team leadership experience preferred \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong understanding of and experience in comparative, commercial, civil, administrative, or international law \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong leadership and people management skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Ability to anticipate risks that may impact SID \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong written and verbal communication skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills \xe2\x80\xa2 Motivated team player, as well as an independent self-starter
