Job Description
Requirement:
- Master’s degree in Marine Engineering from a recognized university.
- 10 years working experience in Oil & Gas and / or maritime industry.
- Fluency in English AND Mandarin is a MUST.
- Ability to travel within China about 50% of the time when normalcy resumes.
- Existing contacts with major equipment suppliers such as Kongsberg, ACD, CIMC SOE etc. will be will an added advantage.
- Negotiate prices with suppliers in order to manage the cost of goods and control the purchasing budget.
- Sign contract with suppliers and monitoring delivery times to ensure goods are delivered on time.
- Monitor the performance of suppliers, assessing their ability to meet quality and delivery requirements; identifies and qualifies new suppliers in collaboration with other departments.
- Participate as an advisory member of the product development team，providing information and coordinating engineering changes, product line extension, or new product launches to ensure timely and orderly material and production flow transitions.
- In charge of Supplier Development and Continuous Improvement programs to achieve improved lead times, better quality and speed to deliver to meet our customers' expectations.
- Conduct Business Reviews and build relationships with critical suppliers.
- Identify suppliers for growth.
- Communicate and coordinate with other departments and partners in China, provide necessary support.
Working Days: Monday – Friday Office Location: Jurong East
