WE ARE LOOKING FOR .....
  • Perform underwriting assessment for new applications.

  • Management of AIA Shared Services (OSS)

  • Underwrite life, critical illness, disability income, personal accident and Health Shield applications and communicate decision to intermediaries within agreed turnaround time (TAT) with competitive underwriting decision and minimal requirement(s) calling. This will include negotiating with reinsurers for terms favorable to placing the business.
  • Handle and resolve enquiries and issues with the distribution channel.
  • Handle appeals on substandard and postpone/ decline cases by directly communicating with the Financial Service Consultants (FSC) or BDM on the rationale and any alternative available.
  • Manage OSS in the following areas
  • Monitor and ensure the daily processing of work tasks under OSS within the agreed TAT and quality.
  • Provide case count estimation so that OSS can provide headcounts to handle.
  • Handle communication on new processes, products or changes to SOP including monthly meeting with OSS.
  • Handle monthly audits of OSS processes and ensure OSS completes audits.
  • Involve in the annual OSS headcount budget exercise.
  • Review and identify area of process improvement or operational efficiency within OSS to ensure straight through processing (STP) and TAT targets are met.
  • Handle pender management and reduce ageing cases.
  • Work on ad hoc projects (eg review underwriting guidelines/ requirements)
  • Any other duties as assigned by the supervisor
