  • Lead on behalf of the Shift Supervisor a team of technicians, ensuring safe, reliable and efficient operation of the assigned technology unit.
  • Act as Site Incident Controller (SIC) for the assigned technology unit and first responder to emergencies with the response team.
  • Responsible for operating the units according to the production plan in respect to quantity and quality.
  • Responsible for executing daily orders related to efficiency and/or maintenance activities.
  • Responsible for correctness, review and improvement of assigned Operations NMS Work Procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring alignment and standard work practices are practiced in the team and technology units.
  • Responsible for first line troubleshooting with his/her team members.
  • Liaising with different stakeholders to ensure that the unit is operating reliably.
  • Inform and provide updates to Shift Supervisor/Superintendent on unit performance.
  • Shall be assigned to replace Shift Supervisor during his/her absence.
Responsible for people management and development
  • Ensure daily shift team strength is sufficient based on area allocation, technician\'s competencies, and workload.
  • Inform and provide updates to the Shift Supervisor on technicians\' performance and development needs.
Responsibilities in the other processes
  • Inform/ escalate to Shift Supervisor immediately on safety and/or utilization risks.
  • Responsible to lead, follow-up, review and improve assigned Task Risk Assessments for operations activities.
  • Responsible for preparation and follow-up on PTW preparation/approval including LOTO and Blinding preparation.
  • Responsible for preparing and ensuring correct implementation of Interlock bypass, fire-impairment and deficiency equipment.
  • Responsible for initiating and leading safety discussions with team members.
  • Responsible for reporting Incidents in the synergy life system relating to incidents/near misses during his/her shift.
  • Responsible for ensuring fault reports are entered correctly in the Bio+ system.
  • Lead daily toolbox meeting before commencing the shift.
Other responsibilities Area Lead
  • Responsible for being the main contact or focal person.
  • Update daily manpower assignments in L2O shift manning tool
Administrative
  • Responsible for E-tracking of in/outgoing waste transports
  • Responsible for correct reporting of several daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports like; adoption plan follow-up, safety shower list, field patrolling etc
The best combination to succeed in this role
  • Minimum Diploma in Chemical related studies with at least 5 years\' relevant experience (supervisory experience preferred) in chemical or petrochemical industry.
  • Possess knowledge in Distributed Control System and Permit-To-Work System
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to perform rotating shift work and overtime work.
