What the role is:The Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) is Singapore\'s central bank and integrated financial regulator.As central bank, MAS promotes sustained, non-inflationary economic growth through the conduct of monetary policy and close macroeconomic surveillance and analysis. It manages Singapore\'s exchange rate, official foreign reserves, and liquidity in the banking sector.As an integrated financial supervisor, MAS fosters a sound financial services sector through its prudential oversight of all financial institutions in Singapore - banks, insurers, capital market intermediaries, financial advisors, and stock exchanges. It is also responsible for well-functioning financial markets, sound conduct, and investor education.

It facilitates the development of infrastructure, adoption of technology, and upgrading of skills in the financial industry.Join us now, if you have a genuine interest in making an impact to help shape Singapore\'s economic and financial landscape.What you will be working on:The Local Core development team is responsible for the national priority of building and sustaining a strong pipeline of Singaporean talent in the financial sector. The team develops strategies to expand the pipeline of job-ready graduates and specialist talent to meet the increasingly complex needs of the financial sector, and create opportunities for more Singaporeans to gain international exposure and take on senior positions in global firms.Our work is driven by data to shape policies and design programmes, and executed through close collaboration with tripartite partners, including the industry, other government agencies and the labour movement.As a member of the teaYou will be involved in developing and executing public communications and outreach/engagement events involving different groups of stakeholders. On public communications, this will relate to the launch of new policies or studies relating to the financial sector workforce, and initiatives to amplify MAS\' manpower messages to shape perception. On outreach/engagement events, this may include small group fireside chats or large-scale roundtables and events involving groups such as financial sector professionals and leaders, individuals looking to join the financial sector, institutes of higher learning, etc.You will also be involved in developing and executing programmes and initiatives by MAS to support talent development in the financial sector. This relates to engaging financial institutions and relevant partners to build awareness of and seek participation in across programmes, as well as evaluating and administering of grants.You will work closely with the Institute of Banking and Finance (IBF), which is the Jobs Development Partner for the financial sector and partners MAS in the above areas of work.What we are looking for:At least 3 to 4 years of working experience preferredAs part of the shortlisting process for this role, you may be required to complete a medical declaration and/or undergo further assessment.This is a 1-year contract.All applicants will be notified on whether they are shortlisted or not within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.About Monetary Authority of Singapore:MAS is the central bank of Singapore.
