Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Professional responsibility for accurate design calculations
• Participate in design development and design discussions
• Timely preparation of design and advise of the same to the project supervisors
• Professional responsibility to verify the accurate implementations of the designs
• Internal check-up of design documents
• Cooperate with other departments to make complete solutions
• Perform structural design and analysis calculations using governing codes and standards, engineering formulas, skills, and experience.
• Layout and details portions of projects using schematic layout by project lead engineer.
• May be assigned responsibility for schematic or conceptual layouts when qualified.
• Research design options and document findings for project lead engineer.
• Review shop drawings.
• Develop probable construction cost estimates for his/her projects within the department.
• Analyses configurations of the basic components of a structure
• Calculate the pressures, stresses and strains that each component, such as a beam or lintel, will experience from other parts of the structure due to human use or environmental pressures such as weather or earthquakes
• Consider the strength of various materials, e.g. timber, concrete, steel and brick, to see how their inclusion may necessitate a change of structural design
• Communicate with other designers, including architects, to agree on safe designs and their fit with the aesthetic concept of the construction
• Examine structures at risk of collapse and advise how to improve their structural integrity, such as recommending removal or repair of defective parts or rebuilding the entire structure
• Make drawings specifications and computer models of structures
• Communicate with construction contractors to ensure that newly erected buildings are structurally sound
• Apply expert knowledge of the forces that act on various structures

Education: Licensed Civil EngineerEXPERIENCE:

• At least Two (2) years' related work experienced preferably in Engineering.
• Experience in Structural/Civil is advantage
• Preferably - Licensed

SKILLS : Good interpersonal skills. Can work long hours and with minimum supervision. Keen to details Computer Literate Good knowledge of Structural detailing Should possess good AutoCAD skills (All versions) Should possess good communication and inter personal skills Ability to understand, analyze and interpret technical procedures, government regulations, drawings and specifications

• Requirements: NBI, MEDICAL, SSS, PHIC, HDMF, TIN, COE

Job Types: Full-time, PermanentSalary: Php18,500.00 - Php28,000.00 per monthSchedule:

• 8 hour shift

Supplemental Pay:

• 13th month salary
