We are currently seeking a DeskSide Engineer to join our team in Tuas, Singapore, South West (SG-05), Singapore (SG).
Individuals understand their own area and are able to perform all facets of their role. o They have experience in most issues that may arise, although require guidance with new assignments or assignments outside normal scope of work. o They manage projects with oversight from their supervisor
Oversees the activities of assigned staff within a functional area with responsibility for staffing, quality and client service. o Directs staff to complete assignments using established guidelines, policies and procedures. o Provides feedback on performance issues. o Viewed as subject matter expert on more than one system. o Assigns tasks to team members and coordinates the team members' schedules. o Conducts periodic inspections of assigned data centers to ensure production and data center logistic policies are being met.
Advanced ability to develop business relationships and communicate effectively with the user community. o Advanced trouble shooting skills. o Requires an in depth knowledge of production processes. o Thorough records management and inventory control skills. o Thorough understanding of server and storage hardware. o Thorough understanding of network hardware and structured cabling. o Working knowledge of mechanical and electrical critical systems components.

• Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience.

Typically requires 5-7 years relevant experience

Good spoken/Read/Write English
1. Project: Manage life cycle management (LCM) and improvement projects for network, servers, storage, backup and voice infrastructure.
Be responsible for the execution (on scope, on time, on budget) of all assigned projects
As assigned, lead or assist in the planning, implementation and introduction of projects for new systems and technologies. Drive IT changes and standardization aligned with the company strategy.
Track delivered benefits of the infrastructure programs.
2. Administer, Monitor and measure performance of infrastructures component.
Manage and monitor data backup on infrastructure component (Servers data, Network configuration ...)
Patch and update infrastructure component (Servers ...).
3. Support: Provide 2nd level support for network infrastructure, servers, voice infrastructure
Support plant information systems (shop floor network, Radio frequency equipment ...)
Driving service improvement plans on ongoing basis.
4. Engagement: Building sustainable relationships with the Engineering and Manufacturing teams in his location to support business changes and standardization 10%
5. Assists in research and fact-finding to develop or modify information systems; assists in preparing detailed specifications from which programs will be written; analyzes existing system logic difficulties and documentation; may use CASE tools. Individual contributor representing the most common entry point for this career stream; works under direct supervision.
