Desktop Support Engineer (Desktop Support L2 + Data Centre) Brief Description: A dual role consists explicitly of an 80% Desktop support role & 20% Data Centre Operation role; he/she is to prioritise the Desktop Support role and take on the Data centre tasks whenever required. Responsibilities: Desktop Support (L2)
  • Provide IT technical service desk and onsite support for end-user services.
  • Problem identification, diagnosis and rectification for both hardware and software issues.
  • Support desktops, notebooks, printers and other hardware components.
  • Experience in MacOS support and troubleshooting preferred
  • Installation, re-installation, troubleshooting and reconfiguration of MS Windows, Microsoft tools such as MS Office, internet browser, MS Outlook, etc.
  • Involved in projects such as migration, relocation and hardware refresh.
Data Centre Operation
  • Strong with DC monitoring software and tools
  • Routine Systems Health Checks
  • Assist to set up and decommission of IT equipment such as networks, servers, storage, backup devices, etc
  • Coordinate with vendor for scheduled facilities work
  • Basic network maintenance support
  • Problem determination and escalation of issues to vendors or internal team
  • Compilation, preparation and submission of Reports
  • Physical / visual inspection
  • Provide onsite support during power down / up activities
  • Inventory and cabling management
  • Equipment Rack and stack work
  • Capacity management (space, power, cooling, patch panel port availability)
  • Change Management & Incident Management Process
Requirements:
  • Nitec in IT or higher qualification.
  • Minimum of 2 year of related Data Centre operations experiences and 3 years of desktop experience.
  • Posseses knowledge in data cabling and patching.
  • Able to manage the data centre effectively.
  • Ability to respond to issues and provide a timely update, and escalation.
Contract Type: 12 Months Salary: SGD3,000 to SGD4,000 Work Environment: School Location: Pioneer Road Working Hours: Office Hours Mon to Fri - 7.30am to 5.00pm, or 9.30am to 7.00pm Commencement: Immediate Job Type: Contract
Contract length: 12 months Salary: $3,000.00 - $4,000.00 per month Experience:
