IT Operations manages the IT infrastructure and supporting services that are critical for HSBC employees and customers, such as cost-efficient hardware, system software, middleware and databases, data centres, voice and data networks, ATMs, desktops and other devices. The area comprises five functions: Client Services, Enterprise Services and Architecture, Data Centre and Service Management, Relationship Management, Project Management and Risk and Administration. Collectively, these areas define and deliver HSBC’s technology strategy to support the Group’s goals. We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager, Infrastructure Client Services (Desktop Support). Principal Responsibilities

  • To provide Desktop related support and implementation of all technology or group initiated Projects to all users within ITO coverage
  • To respond to faults and requests for changes including IMAC (Installation, Move, Add and Change) in a timely and accurate manner
  • To manage and able to prioritise all reported I.T. incidents and escalation so as to maintain a high level of support services
  • To manage assigned projects within scope, schedule and budget
  • To act as gate-keeper against any infringement of Technology Risk and Threats, as well as an advisor on Technology requests from stakeholders
  • To address and manage user’s expectations in a demanding environment

  • Possess good analytical/lateral thinking and desktop troubleshooting skills, good interpersonal and communication skills
  • Have high degree of individual responsibility in managing the day to day processes / change and possess some leadership quality
  • Ability to perform project management tasks
  • Must be innovative and have the initiative to perform assigned tasks
  • Willingness to commute within the country in carrying out daily BAU activities, and to station at different office locations as and when required
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision and perform weekend/overtime works when necessary
  • Relevant qualification in the field of Information Technology with at least 2 to 3 years of Desktop Support related experience
  • Proficient in the use of various Microsoft Office suites of applications and collaboration tools including MS Team, Cisco Jabber, Zoom.
  • Hands on experience in configuring and supporting Blackberry Mobile application on different type of mobile devices
  • Familiarisation of MacOs is a plus
