What the role is You will be part of the Trade Group growing local traders and expanding international trading for Singapore. The Group is involved in assisting SMEs to increase their scale and scope of trading activities via productivity improvement What the role is You will be part of the Trade Group growing local traders and expanding international trading for Singapore. The Group is involved in assisting SMEs to increase their scale and scope of trading activities via productivity improvements, business transformation and venturing abroad. The Group also attracts and anchors major traders to manage their international operations from Singapore. What you will be working on You would be part of the Metals, Minerals, Machinery & Materials (MMMM) team and be in charge of Machinery and Materials companies from the sector. You are expected to assist these companies by administering grant support and by other non-monetary means. In addition, you will also help to identify fast growing Singapore companies from this sector and impact their growth through strategy development and aid them in their implementation. What we are looking for You should have a background in Business Management, Economics or Engineering, preferably with at least 2-5 years of working experience in account management or international business, with an interest to contribute to the public service. Prior knowledge or experience in the MMMM sector is not a pre-requisite. Strong interpersonal skills and an interest in international trading, economics and finance will be an advantage.
