Co-Development Business Unit is hiring for DevSecOps Engineer.
This is a fixed term contract. The engagement is 12 months with options to extend to another 12 months.

What will you do?
We are seeking a DevSecOps Engineer with strong software engineering and data engineering capabilities to support the design, development, deployment and secure operation of modern cloud-native applications and data platforms.
The role will work closely with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects and Quality Assurance Engineers to deliver secure, scalable and high-performing technical solutions across application, data and infrastructure layers.
The candidate is expected to have hands-on experience in backend development, CI/CD automation, cloud infrastructure, and secure software delivery, with working knowledge of data engineering concepts such as data transformation, data flow design, and data platform integration.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects and QA Engineers to design and deliver secure, scalable and high-performing technical solutions.
• Perform hands-on development including backend scripting, API development and database integration to support application and data platform requirements.
• Design, build and maintain data pipelines, including data transformation, data flow orchestration and data quality handling.
• Support implementation and integration of enterprise data platforms, including operational data stores, data lakes and data virtualisation solutions.

• Design, implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines to enable secure, automated and reliable build, test and deployment processes.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration using infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native deployment practices.
• Embed security controls across the software delivery lifecycle, including authentication, authorization, API security and infrastructure security.
• Monitor application, data and infrastructure performance, and proactively identify and resolve system, security and operational issues.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across applications, data pipelines, cloud infrastructure and low-code platforms where applicable.
• Work with QA teams to ensure sufficient automated test coverage and support user acceptance testing activities.
• Participate in Agile delivery processes including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Reviews and Retrospectives.
• Conduct and participate in code reviews to ensure adherence to coding standards, security best practices and maintainable design.
• Ensure systems and development processes comply with IT governance policies, quality standards and security requirements.
• Continuously evaluate and adopt emerging technologies and engineering practices to improve system reliability, security and delivery efficiency.

Requirements
What are we looking for?

• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in software engineering, DevSecOps or related roles, with hands-on involvement in at least 2-3 Agile full project delivery lifecycles.
• Strong hands-on experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS (experience with Government Commercial Cloud (GCC) is advantageous).
• Proven experience in DevOps and CI/CD implementation using tools such as GitLab, Jira, Confluence, SonarQube or equivalent.
• Hands-on experience in Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform and/or CloudFormation.
• Good understanding of cloud-native architectures, microservices architecture, containerisation technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) and modern application deployment patterns.
• Hands-on programming and scripting experience in one or more languages such as Python, Node.js, C#, JavaScript or TypeScript. Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (e.g. React) is advantageous.

• Experience in building and integrating APIs, including authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT, JWKS, OAuth, Cognito or equivalent identity solutions.
• Practical experience or working knowledge in data engineering, including data transformation, data pipeline concepts, data flow orchestration, and working with enterprise data platforms such as data lakes, operational data stores or data virtualisation platforms.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across application, data, infrastructure and security domains.
• Experience supporting secure software delivery, including secure coding practices, vulnerability management and compliance with enterprise security policies.
• Experience working in enterprise or regulated environments; experience in Singapore Government or public sector environments will be advantageous.
• Good understanding of enterprise IT governance, digital service adoption and secure system operations.
• Experience working with emerging technologies such as Large Language Models (e.g. OpenAI, Amazon Q, Gemini) will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
