Job Responsibilities

As a DevSecOps Engineer, you will:

Develop automation/processes for deploying, scaling, monitoring apps in data centers/cloud. Troubleshoot systems across platform/application domains (including on-call support). Own end-to-end DevSecOps solutions. Manage infrastructure monitoring tools and system health. Implement config management and automate disaster recovery. Provision resources (VMs, DBs, containers, licenses) for development teams. Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines with streamlined change/release management. Automate software builds, deployments, and system configurations. Build and monitor systems for bottlenecks and availability. Manage secure deployment frameworks and auto-scaling platforms. Implement system security architecture and apply secure configurations. Perform threat assessments and apply secure system practices. Conduct security checks (e.g. VA scans, troubleshooting). Ensure adherence to security standards and protect infrastructure/data.

Experience & Skills Needed

Education:

Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, IT, Computer/Electronics Engineering, or related disciplines.

Experience:

Minimum 3 years in DevSecOps-related work. Experience with high-availability, high-security, multi-data center or hybrid cloud systems. Background in Agile teams and enterprise software development.

Technical Skills:

Strong grasp of SDLC, TDD, CI/CD practices. Skilled in 3+ scripting/programming languages (e.g. Bash, PowerShell). Experience with Git version control. Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud). Ability to troubleshoot system and app-level issues. Automated provisioning tools: Vagrant, Ansible, Puppet, Terraform. Cloud infrastructure: OpenStack, CloudStack, vSphere. Container tech: Docker, Kubernetes. Virtualization: KVM, VMware, Hyper-V. CNCF tools: Prometheus, Helm, Argo, Istio, etc. Familiarity with DevOps tools: GitLab, JIRA, BitBucket, Confluence. Disaster recovery, system backups, RPM package management.

Security Knowledge (Preferred):

Security tools: HashiCorp Vault, Tenable, Fortify, Nexus IQ. Experience with government security assessments. Security certifications (e.g. CREST). Strong understanding of network infrastructure and Linux OS.

Soft Skills:

Passion for automation and best practices. Strong collaboration, documentation, and communication skills.

Pay: $5,000.00 - $9,000.00 per month
