As one of Singapore Best Employers 2022, we would like to welcome a Digital Engineering Lead to join our Water Business in the Singapore office. The ideal candidate is an individual with a passion for problem-solving from a data-led perspective, who has experience in data analytics or data science, and a desire to deliver commercial success. You will design, develop, write and regularly produce high-quality deliverables, spanning multiple Clients across (predominantly but not limited to) the Water sector. In addition to working on Digital Solutions owned projects, the role will involve working on projects in other areas of the business especially those where we are launching or developing solutions or analytics. You will use analytical and statistical tools to deliver value to the business and draw conclusions from data sets by giving insights and visualising them in user friendly and engaging ways. The successful candidate will need an up-to-date technical skill base and a willingness to regularly review and develop their skills to ensure the team is best positioned to respond to market changes and developments. This technical skill base development will also be supported by the team. As a Digital Engineering Lead, you're an expert who is one of the go-to people for queries from across the business. Working closely with the team, you will consult, analyse and present results to deliver real business change. To be a successful candidate, you shall possess: Minimum Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline - e.g. engineering, mathematics, physics, statistics Strong academic background and track record in mathematics and statistics Experience in an analytical, research or data-led role Experience of mathematical/statistical packages - e.g. Python, R, SQL Experience of development and use of database platforms Programming skills in some of the following languages: T-SQL, Java, Python, R, C#, VBA, VB.NET Excellent verbal and written communication skills Good interpersonal skills enabling you to work both as part of a sophisticated multi-disciplinary team and to work independently to solve problems and Expert knowledge of MS Excel & Access. Experience, or theoretical understanding, in development and use of machine learning algorithms for predictive analytics would be an added advantage Experience of BI packages - e.g. Power BI, Tableau use and application of cloud services, using collaborative tools such as JIRA or Trello would be an added advantage Understanding of the principals of project management or delivery management would be an added advantage Jacobs.
