Job Description

The Compl Governance Sr Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Contributes to standards around which others will operate. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and review quarterly control and monitoring results, identify gaps and implement suitable corrective actions
  • Plays a key role in managing third party vendor relationship
  • Manage key relationship with internal stakeholders and be accountable for meeting the digital control requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to controls and governance processes to ensure clean project execution across team functions
  • Perform due diligence activities related to vendor onboarding, pre-contract due diligence, contract negotiation, ongoing monitoring and pricing review and negotiation
  • Prepare documents, arrange for evidences and manage IA review and escalations and meet deliverables within expected timeframes
  • Play the primary business owner role in vendor management lifecycle right from onboarding, ongoing monitoring to offboarding processes
  • Work closely with control stakeholders such as Risk, Operations, Compliance, Legal, Data Security and Fraud to review and obtain approval for planned initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory governance standards to promote consistency of processes across the organization for all phases of the regulatory interaction lifecycle.
  • Track and monitor regulatory issues, regulatory commitments and enforcement actions from onset through conclusion, to ensure appropriate reporting in various senior forums to ensure responses to deficiencies identified by regulators appropriately address the root cause, clearly define the corrective actions and are properly reported in the Citi system.
  • Communicate to all stakeholders on a timely basis in a clear way
  • Facilitate, coordinate, and arbitrate cross-functional macro level topics with key stakeholders
Qualifications:
  • 7-10 years experience in Compliance and Control
  • Good understanding of digital franchise
  • Track record of success in leading critical projects with excellent influencing skills to drive projects forward, gain buy-in and iterate on feedback
  • Ability to create relevant strategy and lead ideation process with stakeholders through to implementations
  • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills
  • Enjoy working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with minimum guidance/supervision
Education:
  • Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred
