Primary Function of Position:

We are looking for a Director of Marketing Operations to lead Asia Regional Marketing Operations. Reporting directly to the Asia VP of Commercial Operations and Marketing, this position will be responsible for end-to-end marketing operations at the region and country level. Primary responsibilities for the role includes: defining and continuously improving global matrix workflows, implementing new content and lead management systems, expanding the use of first-party data collection and segmentation in service of campaign effectiveness, content localization and ensuring we have the right talent in the right roles, including external agency partners aligned to deliver a singular Intuitive brand expression for customers and employees across the region and in alignment with global guidance. You will partner with global peers quarterly and annually to establish marketing strategies, planning, budgeting, and prioritizing work required to support business growth.

This will be an integral role within the Asia regional leadership team intended to build a new team structure, introduce new workflows, and process efficiency, and define role across various functions in service of scaling Regional Marketing Operations across our 5 direct markets of Japan, China, Korea, India, and Taiwan.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Market Readiness, Strategy, and Planning:
  • Lead a region-wide marketing planning process to improve alignment of plans set by individual country teams, drive efficiency of creation and costs, and improve impact and outcomes of regional programs and campaigns.
  • Define product launch plans and asset needs from corporate to support product launch and sustaining marketing activities.
  • Project Management Systems
  • Leverage corporate supported project management systems to capture volume of work being managed internally and externally to support reporting.
  • Support the expansion of digital marketing capabilities across Intuitive owned channels including web and social media. Align with corporate digital marketing teams to mature infrastructure and support scaling of local enablement capability.
  • Define structure, processes, and train teams on the discipline & rigor required to support efficient marketing operations.
  • Establish standardized and centralized reporting of regional marketing efficiency including team velocity, health, and impact of programs based on common KPI\xe2\x80\x99s used across the business.
  • Regularly report performance of regional programs against common business goals including engagement and overall ROI to support future project planning and prioritization.
  • Technology Infrastructure:
  • Establish the business case and gain stakeholder alignment for proposed marketing technology infrastructure projects aligned to the corporate digital marketing infrastructure roadmap and release schedule. Plans should include business impact and advantages to each country or market.
  • Implement MarTech systems and manage the existing technologies and integrations required to launch, measure, optimize, and sustain marketing initiatives across Asia.
  • Manage regional objectives and implementation timelines in support of multiple digital marketing platforms including Workfront, Veeva, Agile, Marketo, Seismic and Salesforce in collaboration with the Corporate Marketing Operations team.
  • Process Optimization:
  • Lead improvements in the content review and approval process, and maintenance of the regional content and claims library.
  • Support the scaling of internal best-practices while adopting new processes and technology solutions that will be appropriate to improve efficiency and business impact in Asia.
  • Ensure team members are educated and proficient using technology and tools.
  • Agency Management:
  • Define business needs for external partners to support and compliment internal resources.
  • Create project and program briefs to define clear set of business objectives, KPI\xe2\x80\x99s, and budgets to govern agency engagements.
  • Provide clear and actionable strategic and creative direction to team and agencies in alignment with Intuitive brand governance to ensure agency success.
  • Establish a consolidated approved agency list to ensure communication, business updates, and project and program work remains aligned and focused.
  • Lead all agency onboarding and brand training in collaboration with the appropriate Corporate Brand teams using Intuitive tools to support.
  • Conduct quarterly agency reviews of work with support of Corporate Brand Teams\xe2\x80\x94setting clear and actionable goals for continuous improvement.
  • Data and Analytics:
  • In partnership with corporate Marketing Ops and IT, ensure data sources connect across the Marketing stack in Asia, synthesizing and surfacing insights, and regularly report organizational metrics and KPI\xe2\x80\x99s to Regional General Management.
  • Establish processes to track organizational KPIs and metrics in alignment with global marketing best-practices, report on project and program level status and provide pre-emptive alerts when goals may be at risk.
  • Derive insights from the marketing analytics, reporting, and team dashboards to measure the effectiveness; improve strategies and tactical decision making and the overall performance of the marketing content and programs.
Qualifications

Skills, Experience, Education, & Training:
  • Minimum 15 years of well-rounded marketing operations experience across a variety of functions and channels, in positions of increasing responsibility, with a focus on market expansion and capitalizing on emerging market trends. Healthcare and/or Med tech experience ideal.
  • Direct experience managing teams within the Asia Pacific region with keen understanding of how to nurture and navigate cultural and business differences for the benefit of building a stronger global organization.
  • Proven, recent corporate marketing operations leadership experience in medium to large, matrixed organizations offering technology-driven solutions in high growth markets.
  • Hands-on experience working across the entire marketing continuum from planning and budgeting through content creation, approval, and delivery including program ROI analysis.
  • Demonstrable ability to effectively define, direct, and collaborate with engineering and design functions and integrate expertise from these capabilities into high-value commercial tools and assets.
  • Demonstrated success navigating complex business environments and driving efficient and effective program execution through delivery.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with proven ability to inspire and build effective relationships with C-suite and peers, and to attract and retain marketing talent.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing and scaling marketing infrastructure, program effectiveness, and governance to support rapid international growth.
  • Exceptional collaboration skills with cross-functional teams at all levels of the company.
  • Strong data-driven leader with deep expertise in reporting, project management, and performance analysis to support a clear story.
  • Demonstrated success leading the change management efforts required when introducing new processes and evolving the capabilities of an organization.
  • Language:
  • Must be fluent in English
