The Director of BI & AI is an advanced-level position within the product and project management job family. This role involves managing a product portfolio and driving transformational programs in large and complex business areas. The product portfolio includes BI & AI solutions that support decision-making support or automation at all levels.How will you contribute to the success of DHL?- Accountable for the visions, strategy, and roadmaps of global programs and products appropriate to the specified business area.
- Drive appropriate change management in business processes to ensure that business impact is realized.
- Accountable for business impact delivered within agreed time, cost quality, and governance.
- Guide the regions to ensure that the programs and products are managed in a harmonized way, with maximum sharing and minimal effort and cost duplication.
- Gather and incorporate feedback from customers, stakeholders, and market trends to continuously improve products.
- Responsible for software, hardware, and professional services contracts and budget
- Build working relationships with the Business and IT teams in the Express Regions and other Corporate Divisions to get alignment and leverage potential synergies.
- Establish and manage relationships with external partners that support DHL Express IT.
- Align with Architecture, Technology, Security, Risk, IT & Enterprise strategies.
- Responsible for software, hardware, and professional services contracts and budgets.
- Monitors the emergence of new data development technologies and methodologies and where appropriate applies it to the data analytics development process.Do you have what it takes?- Advanced degree or equivalent experience in: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems.
- 10+ years of experience in Digital or Analytics.
- 7+ years of experience in Data-intensive product development.
- Professional Certification in Agile (preferable).
- Strong product management skills, with experience in product strategy, roadmap planning, and product lifecycle management.
- Good research and analysis skills, with the ability to gather and synthesize customer feedback and market trends.
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional, cross-cultural teams.
- Strong practice with Agile development methodologies, DevOps, and product management tools.
- Proven record of working with data, BI, analytics, and ML/AI solutions.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey product concepts and benefits to internal stakeholders; ready to present to C-level.
- Good knowledge of at least one of the functional areas: customer relationships and sales, e-com/freight forwarding/express/logistics operations, and service operations.
- Analytical: Synthesize complex or diverse information; Able to source and prepare data; Design data flows and Data models; Challenge and re-validate conclusions.
- Design: Apply design principles; Demonstrate attention to detail.
- Problem Solving: Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner; Foresee and communicate potential issues; Develop alternative solutions; Work well in group problem-solving situations.
