What the role is:The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) champions the development of a future ready built environment for Singapore. Besides regulating building safety, we lead and transform the built environment sector in delivering a safe, high quality, sustainable and friendly built environment. We are looking for resourceful, energetic and self-motivated individuals who are inspired to play an active role to make a difference to Singapore's built environment.What you will be working on:As a Director, you will lead the team in ensuring good governance and development of the strata management sector. This includes: - Administering the relevant provisions of the Building Maintenance and Strata Management (BMSM) Act on behalf of the Commissioner of Buildings - Driving regular review of systems and processes including the adopting of technology to improve efficiency - Driving regular review of policies to meet the needs of the operating environment - Spearheading regular engagement/ communication with stakeholders to understand and pre-empt issues - Working with industry associations to uplift the managing agent industry - Developing resources to enable stakeholders to self-help - Contributing to WOG initiatives as sector leadWhat we are looking for:- Tertiary qualification in any discipline preferably in built-environment related field. - Possess some years of public policy work and experience in dealing with multiple diverse stakeholders. - Good understanding of the BMSMA and some years of industry experience in the MCST/MA sector would be an advantage. - Good understanding of basic law and legislation process. - Strong managerial and people management skills. - Strong written communication skills and ability to manage dispute / feedback from customers. - Ability to think critically and sense make. A fast learner. - Able to lead change and inject dynamism in the team Successful candidates will be offered contract employment.
