The Role Responsibilities

  • The Change Lead role is a change management role within the New Ways of Working sitting between the Chief Product Owner and Product Owner and Stakeholders and the Technology Squads to support the delivery, embedding the change and user adoption of SCB client journeys in a unified, simple and effective manner, facilitating change adoption, information sharing and risk reduction.
  • Definition: Change Management in this sense (not the IT sense) wraps around any portfolio of changes that impacts a business. It aims to:
  • Participate in the requirements gathering and validation process by bringing the user perspectives to the fore, so that we know that we are building the right things, in the right way to meet the requirement sand maximise the benefits. The Change Manager needs to understand the users \xe2\x80\x9cday job\xe2\x80\x9d.
  • Conduct a stakeholder map to determine where the supporters and nay-sayers are in order to maximise the effect of the former and negate the issues associated with the latter.
  • To work alongside the squads that are delivering the functionality to ensure that the \xe2\x80\x9cpeople\xe2\x80\x9d oriented deliverables (communications, training materials, training delivery, user documentation are complete, suitable and timely; and to ensure that the user community has a channel of communication to ask questions and address concerns.
  • Construct KPIs to measure the success of the implementation, user adoption and the achievement of the benefits.
  • To work with the user community during and after the delivery/implementation providing support, addressing concerns, and embedding the changes in order to ensure the benefits are achieved.
Responsibilities
  • The role supports the implementation of FCSO projects by using agile, new ways of working and is capable of coaching Product Owners.
  • Acting as the key interface between the initiatives, business lines, country and regional contacts.
  • Responsible for the holistic change management in collaboration with FCSO, Business and Process Owners, Technology & Innovation (T&I), Group Internal Audit (GIA), Financial Crime Compliance Assurance (FCCA), Group FCC, and other functional partners.
  • Developing the change strategy to support roll out of project deliverables/major systems enhancements including project-specific stakeholder analysis and impacts, communication strategy, training strategy, change risk assessments, operationalization readiness and benefits realization.
  • Conducting impact, stakeholder, and organization analysis to feed into the project scoping and feasibility.
  • Support projects in building compelling cases for change, and helping the business track the achievement of those benefits.
Change Management
  • Responsible for all change management activities which include communication, change risk assessments, operationalization readiness and tracking of benefits.
  • Identify and manage anticipated change resistance.
  • Collaborate with Chief Product Owner/Product Owners, to drive sustainable change and implementing effective change management strategy to help successfully deliver the projects.
  • Responsible for operational readiness prior the implementation of system changes by ensuring the availability of training to users where required, DOIs are revised to address impact (if needed) and publishing a Go-live communications for each 90-day backlog (via consolidated bulletin per quarter with change description, JIRA#, benefits).
Business
  • Regularly engage with users, with regards to change related matters, change adoption and progress.
  • Engaging stakeholders and ensure communicating all changes effectively and efficiently.
  • Support the development and implementation of adoption measurement approaches for key initiatives to assess effectiveness, progress and areas needing attention.
  • Managing all change management activities, e.g., training, operational readiness.
Processes
  • Agile Project and Programme Management.
  • Define Change Management Plan including dependencies.
  • Change Governance Processes.
  • Delivery Risk Management and escalation as appropriate.
  • Ensuring adherence to Change Governance Policy and nWOWS.
  • Manage dependencies between all impacted workstreams.
People & Talent
  • Proactively manage change agents and on projects to support successful delivery.
  • Lead through example and build the appropriate culture and values. Set appropriate tone and expectations from the team and work in collaboration with risk and control partners.
  • Mentor and support members of the team.
  • Foster good relationships with the Function Leads and Stakeholders.
Risk Management
  • Identify project and business risks, escalating to the Accountable Executive and Stream Leads (as appropriate) with strategies to mitigate that risk.
  • Ensure all implementations mitigate risk where possible.
Governance
  • Adhere to SCB Programme Management good practice and governance. High level definition of what that entail is:
  • Management Reporting \xe2\x80\x93 assisting the Product Owners/Project Managers in Operational Readiness Updates to ensure that project change activities, e.g., Delivery Risk, CRA, etc are are reported/escalated timely and effectively.
  • Change Risk Governance \xe2\x80\x93 ensuring that the programme / project is consistently following the standards for Change Governance Policy and assisting Product Owners / delivery leads to come up the curve where appropriate for GRAM risk assessment and Change Risk Assessment activities.
Regulatory & Business Conduct

Our Ideal Candidate
  • 10+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience in Financial Crime Compliance, covering the areas of advisory, CDD, surveillance systems and investigation process in Banking operations
  • 5+ years\xe2\x80\x99 experience as a PMO (project management) in Financial Markets
  • Experience and sound understanding of AI, Machine Learning and RegTech/FinTech with change adoption in BAU activities
  • Experience being a Product owner in Banking operations would be preferred
  • Exposure to Agile Values and Methodologies with an Agile or Scrum master certification would be preferred
