Director, Data Center Strategic Development & Business Management

This role will be supporting the data center business development in Singapore as well as overseas. The candidate will be key in the coordination, analysis, tracking and collation of various strategic inputs and development of business cases for various stake holders for top management and board approval.
Responsibilities
Provide support for the Singapore team as follows:

• Analyse and track the respective DC productivity and efficiency indicators relative to the respective business cases and to forecast the outer year performance relative to market benchmarking.
• Review various strategic inputs to help formulate respective business cases for the strategic partnerships for the DCs in Singapore and outside Singapore. As time is essential, high quality collation, production, and assessment in addition to quick turnaround is crucial.
• Analyse the various strategic inputs to help formulate respective operating models for the various respective strategic partnership shareholder agreements and operating agreements.
• Provide the necessary support to Singtel top management in preparation of the various many DC board meetings.
• Track and analyse the execution of the respective business cases and strategic co-operation models relative to the business cases and budgets.

Provide business planning and management support for operating partner overseas as follows:

• Setup empowerment framework
• Cadence of Operating partner with overseas board and management
• Set up system, tool, process and review performance against business cases. Provide simulation model to enable management to perform deep analysis on various scenarios.
• Annual operation planning with overseas leaders, running cadence leading to approval.
• Assist management in productizing DC, Connectivity, Managed Platform services, security, Internet, DR services. Assist management team in strategy, planning, and engagement with potential local and regional opportunities. Provide value added analysis to Business which includes analysing and highlighting insights that supports decision making to improve overall benefits to Singtel.
• Assist management with end-end strategizing and alignment, including system, structure, process, people, capex, opex, revenue and business health, providing insights and advice to streamline operation and management of the business.
• Assist management in the regular review of key global Hyperscaler and MNC accounts, and developing a GTM review model for both key accounts and long tail accounts.
• Assist management in the devise and implementation of commission plan for internal and with partners.

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance or Business Administration, with minimum 10-12 years relevant experience with proven financial and business management experience.
• Strong financial knowledge with analytical mindset, and excellent presentation skills.
• Affable personality with natural ability to engage and manage key partners and stakeholders.
• Excellent financial & process management skills.
• Ability to build business cases and models from scratch based on inputs from the team.
• Independent and resourceful team player.
