Job Summary



Our Markets Traders identify, analyse and execute opportunities in the market, supporting the needs of our clients in a professional and fully compliant way. Our Markets business aims to become the leading emerging markets fixed income, financing, and securities service franchise, and a leader in sustainable finance, advisory, trading and asset servicing.

The business will achieve this by expanding product capabilities, building on footprint market strength, developing our talent and using technology to transform our ways of working. Key Responsibilities


Strategy


Contribute towards the automation and improvement of product offering to clients Contribute to the global franchise development reviewing all notable Energy flows and market movements across the various regions, construct trade ideas and communicate to the wider teams. Contribute to on-going projects with a particular focus on risk management tools improvements, electronic trading development, Natural Gas product development On the job training, aimed at getting up to speed with the day to day needs of a busy trading desk and subsequently (assuming criteria are met) a development path toward trading the client franchise

Demonstrate awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment in which the Group operates Deliver on assigned tasks and projects Contribute towards identifying opportunities for the desks across geographies and client segments

Ensure adherence to all internal and external regulations Ensure adherence with the obligations to prevent money laundering under the Group Policy and Standards and under local laws and regulations Contribute towards highlighting any need to update procedures and controls as a result of changes in products, systems, policy or regulation

Education: Graduate / Postgraduate. 8+ years of experience in energy trading risk management and proven profitable track record. Able to trade across the barrel with Crude / Fuel / Distillates / Light Ends / Petchems / Natural Gas. Strong analytical skills with some coding capability to improve the platform and drive decision making. Strong stakeholder management skills. Strong communication skills.
