THE ROLE:

AMD is searching for a Human Resources Director to support our SVP, Sales for EMEA, India and APJ regions which spans 21 countries. The ideal candidate is an experienced, strategic and progressive business partner and clear communicator with a strong consultative style. As the HR business lead for these key regions, it's important that you have a strong understanding of the business environment and objectives and HR's role in helping employees and leaders across the regions reach those goals. Strong relationship building, collaboration and driving an inspiring and engaged culture are critical to success. In this role, you are sought out as a trusted coach, consult, and mentor who uses innovative and pragmatic approaches to problem solve and advise in a broad range of HR topics including driving proactive Organization Design and Change Initiatives, Organization Effectiveness using Talent Analytics, Facilitation and Talent Management.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Business, Financial and Industry Acumen
  • Know how businesses work; knowledgeable in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the business and organization; know the competition; awareness of how strategies and tactics work in the marketplace
  • Interpersonal, Communication and Consulting Skills
  • Consult, coach and execute with the business to identify, develop and drive key human capital initiatives such as leadership development, succession planning, global talent acquisition, and rewards and recognition
  • Partner and team with colleagues inside and outside of HR to innovate, enhance, align and drive the effectiveness of enterprise-wide HR programs and initiatives
  • Strategically drive pay-for-performance including salary planning, promotions, resource planning, and talent calibration.
  • Act as an advisor to business leaders on issues relating to policy interpretation and employee relations
  • Facilitating off-site discussions
  • Organizational Diagnostics, Analytics, and Problem Solving
  • Manage and facilitate organizational design and development
  • Analyze and communicate insights using the HR Dashboard and the key talent metrics to provide guidance to the business
  • Lead the analysis and interpretation of engagement survey results, identifying trends and collaborating with leaders to identify and implement action planning.
  • Gather and explore information, find patterns and solve problems

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS:
  • Experience working in Sales and/or Regions a plus.
  • Use of HR metrics to consult with the business and influence action
  • Diversified knowledge and application of processes and programs such as organization development, change management, workforce and succession planning, performance management, employee relations, compensation, training, and recruitment.
  • Exposure to executive coaching frameworks, tools, and approaches
  • Demonstrated group facilitation and engagement skills.
  • Proven operational and project management skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and sustain positive cross functional relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex, matrix organization.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in a team, manage conflict, and build trust.
  • Demonstrated creativity and innovation in solutions
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently, take proactive action and deliver results
