What the role is:Director (CIO Office) assists the CIO, manages a team of IT planning and governance professionals and works closely with the various IT, digitalisation and data management teams to provide leadership in the strategic planning, development, implementation and sustenance of IT across whole of A*STAR.What you will be working on:Key Accountabilities \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop IT strategic plans and assembling a portfolio of IT initiatives that are aligned to A*STAR"s priorities \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure IT budget marksmanship \xe2\x80\xa2 Ensure robust IT governance through policies, procedures, engagement and compliance management \xe2\x80\xa2 Assemble an effective catalogue of IT services and systems and corresponding service targets, and ensure robust service managementWhat we are looking for:Job Requirements \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 15 years of working experience, with exposure to multiple IT domains such as government, corporate and research/ academic environments \xe2\x80\xa2 At least 10 years in senior IT leadership roles, with proven ability in IT strategic planning, IT portfolio management, project management, senior stakeholder management and people management/development \xe2\x80\xa2 Good knowledge of IT governance, cybersecurity and data security principles and policies in the public sector and research/ academic environment in Singapore \xe2\x80\xa2 Deep and broad understanding of business processes and IT solutions in large organisations, and the ability to plan and budget for IT to meet organisational-specific needs quickly and sustainably \xe2\x80\xa2 Know-how of enterprise-level digital and IT solutions, architecture and frameworks, including technical solutioning and lifecycle costing \xe2\x80\xa2 Proven ability to communicate complex IT challenges effectively The above eligibility criteria are not exhaustive.
