Job Description


Role Responsibilities
Design and Develop predictive Analytical data driven models for non functional risk management for financial crime and compliance risk types. The analytical work products should transform the CFCC function with predictive risk insights that will inform and support CFCC stakeholders in taking risk management decisions of high value. The work products should have high level of model governance that will stand the test of both internal and external oversight bodies and should be able to drive insights performing quantitative analysis of both large and incomplete datasets. Stakeholders include senior management of all CFCC units.

Responsibilities

  • You will be building Statistical/Machine Learning models in either Python, R or PySpark to solve business problems using Advanced Analytics (Predictive and Prescriptive)
  • You will be presenting results of your analysis and interpreting outputs of your models to give recommendations to the stakeholders
  • You should be able to articulate to senior stakeholders in business friendly language the results of the analysis
  • You will be maintaining and documenting produced code and modelling process.
  • You will be working with data engineers to prepare and integrate data from various data sources
  • You will be helping data engineers and ML engineers with model deployment
  • You will be cooperating with (both technical and non-technical) various Bank departments to adjust analytics solution to the business needs
  • You will be responsible for setting technical directions and providing guidance to model developers in achieving explainable model outcomes with quality
  • You will be working with data engineers to prepare and integrate data from various data sources
  • You will be leading a team of model developers and manage their technical performance and career development and progression
  • You will be managing multiple analytical work products and projects both in BAU and Change mode
  • You will also be future focused and help stakeholders in the transformation journey with Analytical work products by translating ideas into implementable actions and work products

  • Supports global regulatory interaction, particularly in relation to requests for information from regulators.
  • Ensure that business relationships with data providers are healthy and are in the best interests of RAA\xe2\x80\x99s objectives.

Our Ideal candidates
  • Bachelors or Advanced degree in engineering, finance, accounting, mathematics, or social sciences with excellent quantitative methodological skills.
  • 10+ years of experience in data, technology, and analytics space preferably in the data science background
  • Solid experience in any one of the following programming languages: Python, R or PySpark
  • Experience in application of statistics, classification, regression, segmentation, and dimensionality reduction methods and preferably in any of the following data science related areas: econometrics, time-series analysis, optimization methods, Bayesian statistics, natural language processing
  • Solid understanding of most of the following algorithms: linear regression, logistic regression, decision and regression trees, random forest, boosting algorithms (e.g.: XGBoost), k-means, hierarchical clustering, and principal component analysis
  • Solid understanding and knowledge of the following data science concepts: bias-variance trade-off, regularization, model evaluation metrics, cross-validation, bootstrapping, hyperparameter tuning, feature selection & feature engineering
  • Experience in relational databases (Hadoop/HIVE) using SQL
  • Experience in data visualisation
  • Relevant experience in working with large data sets using data manipulation programming techniques to identify trends and proposing new or revised analytical approaches to discover illicit activity/anomalies within data sets.
  • Developing a robust, repeatable, and transparent framework for managing and monitoring models. This includes the procurement of data from source production systems (if required), simulating and comparing, creating periodical MI and dashboards, designing new dashboards as required.
  • Suggesting model changes to production and test models based on observations obtained from the periodical monitoring process.
  • Ensuring data obtained from model source systems and model outputs feeding in to monitoring processes is accurate, robust, and fit for purpose.
  • Strong oral and written communications skills and experience defending research findings.
  • Strong skills in Apache Spark, Python, Hadoop/Hive, SQL (or other equivalent tool), Dataiku, Microsoft Office & Tableau/Power BI. DevOps skillset \xe2\x80\x93 Bitbucket, Jenkins is an added advantage.

  • Project management skills preferably gained by building similar functions in other global financial institutions.
