The Operators represent Travelport in designated territories, and the company is currently represented by Operators in about 97 countries.What does a great Director of Account Management do?The Director of Account Management is responsible for overseeing the commercial performance of select Operator territories. They will work with Operators to create detailed Annual Business Plans (ABP) that align with Travelport\'s strategic objectives. This role also involves conducting Quarterly Business Reviews with Operators to track progress and ensure the ABPs remain relevant and updated.In addition to business planning, they must ensure that Operators have a strong sales pipeline, which includes both share of wallet (SOW) opportunities and new logo prospects. The Director works with Operators to advance these opportunities through the sales cycle and ultimately close deals.The responsibilities include managing relationships with key Operator stakeholders, ensuring alignment of ABPs with Travelport\'s business plans, and running Quarterly Business Reviews to track progress on goals and review sales pipeline activities. They also conduct monthly pipeline review meetings with Operators and provides guidance on customer acquisition and retention strategies. This role requires the Director to identify new business opportunities and to track and address obstacles that could impede growth.They will need to build relationships with travel agents, industry partners, local industry bodies, and airlines in the Operator\'s territories. This role also involves assessing the impact of changing cultural, political, and business environments on Travelport\'s operations and creating deal-specific profit and loss statements to evaluate growth initiatives.Who we are looking for in this role:To be successful in this role, the candidate should have extensive experience in a senior sales management position, demonstrating strong sales acumen and proven results through direct or indirect sales channels. The ideal candidate has experience with accountability, P&L creation, and managing relationships with multi-cultural customers.Excellent communication, presentation, and time management skills are essential.
