Job Description

Reports to the Chief Data and Analytics Officer for Cigna International and is responsible for working collaboratively with the regional business leaders and stakeholders to set and execute the roadmap for how data and analytics provide thought partnership and deliver analytics solutions by enabling data through data foundations work that would meet the needs of each market and the Asia region. The solutions will span the needs of Cigna's international business - covering population health, pricing and underwriting, network design, sales & marketing, and more. Robust analytics solutions coupled with data foundational work will help drive growth through meaningful insights and ensure Cigna continues to evolve and deliver world class experiences and solutions to our customers and partners. The ideal candidate will understand Cigna's business and lead the design and delivery of the most optimal analytics solutions.
Responsibilities:
Working closely with the Asia Pacific and US data teams to build, lead and execute a multi-year data and analytics roadmap for customer and client data analytics for International Markets. This is to design, build, and deliver global products and customer services using insights from our ongoing market segmentation work, customer experiences, and partner insights
Develop plans for designing and operationalization of data and analytics solutions, build the business case, syndicate with senior leaders and secure commitment
Prioritize work across multiple project types such as opportunity sizing, data mining, predictive modeling, and comparative effectiveness evaluations. All for purposes of decision making and execution based on data, facts and analytical findings across different part of the regional organizations
Develop analytics solutions leveraging both health data and financial data to drive meaningful business value and impact
Work closely with the regional teams to develop these analytical solutions into specific critical analyses as well as commercial products that deliver specific insights on how we meet the needs of our customers and clients.
Enable the dialogue about the value and meaning of the analytic insights, and making it easy for business stakeholders and senior management to apply data-driving decisions across the business
To understand the evolving market and recommend solutions to help ensure Cigna IM continues to stay relevant from a data, analytics, and technology perspective
To develop a data and insights architecture to support the current gaps with a path forward to a sustainable flexible / scalable design that is not dependent on our current systems
Propose new tools and design scalable models/products that can be implemented in a way that could be leveraged in other Cigna regional markets
Lead and inform the data strategy and key data initiatives for the region working in partnership with Technology to enable the analytics and business needs for accurate and timely information and data quality improvements
Work in close collaboration with regional and enterprise functional partners including Data Science COE, Data & Analytics Engineering and other areas
Lead a business analytics team and execute the talent strategy required to meet business needs. Management entails providing individual and team leadership to business analytics team to ensure they are growing their capabilities and achieving their career goals
Conduct meetings with the Cigna leadership teams to share best practices and new insights
Lead and perform various strategic assignments to enhance overall strategic capabilities for the region
Institute standardization and quality assurance across all aspects of delivery, including modeling, evaluations and opportunity analysis
Requirements:
Demonstrated ability to work across a large and cultural diverse group
10+ years' experience working in a consulting, data analytics and insights and/or market research position
Insurance or financial services experience preferred
Solid experience in data foundational/management areas e.g. data governance, data quality, data privacy, etc.
Strong analytical capabilities and experience
Ability to collaborate and communicate with executive level business leaders
Math, Computer science or related technical background + willingness to dive into technology details
Strong foundational skills with analytics software such as Tableau, PowerBI, Qlik, SQL, Python and/or R
Experience in a complex, fast-paced, quantitative environment with a high bar for attention to detail and quality of work
Management and/or mentorship experience required
Excellent verbal and written executive communication skills and corporate agility
Fast learner and takes initiative
Strong passion for changing healthcare
