Job Description




The Director of Operations is responsible for overall delivery and operations management. The Director of Operations will ensure all operational goals are consistently met and implement continuous improvement efforts. As Director of Operations, you will work on developing and improving processes and technical ability whilst driving continuous improvement and operations excellence. There will be a team of Project Managers & PMOs under your management. Additional responsibilities include driving strategic initiatives as identified by stakeholders. Perform variety of projects which focused on organization’s capabilities and performance. Design and deliver innovative recommendations to optimize the operating model while effective managing risks. The incumbent will align to the leadership and oversees these initiatives to ensure the deliverables are done on time.

Responsibilities

  • Establish quantitative and qualitative metrics, guidelines and standards by which the company’s efficiency and effectiveness can be evaluated; identifies opportunities for improvement
  • Implements policies and procedures that will improve day-to-day operations
  • Reviews, analyzes and evaluates business processes
  • Communicates effectively new directives, policies or processes to managers
  • Ensure that the company conforms to established regulations
  • Interlock with Sales/Donations team on Projects
  • Plan and position for Key Temasek/T-Pride initiatives
  • Work with Finance on Cost Recovery/Optimization
  • Align to Governance and Controls

Preferred Requirements and Skills
  • Proven track record as Director of Operations or equivalent in MNCs or large SMEs
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Science or Economics preferred
  • Business management, consulting or equivalence experience
  • Strong attention to detail, passion for strategic thinking and problem solving, and ability to deliver insights that aid business decision
  • Ability to maintain good judgement in fast paced, high-stress environments
  • Ability to bring insight into suboptimal flows in existing business operations processes, and a drive to improve over time – Continuous Improvement Drive
  • Proven leadership skills, with demonstrated results in proactively driving and delivering high value results through both individual and team effort
  • Ability to engage and manage key stakeholders including senior leadership, peers, and clients
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
  • Outstanding communication and people skills
  • In depth knowledge of diverse business functions
