The Role

Reporting to the Hotel Manager, he/she is responsible for directing, leading and managing the Hotel\'s Rooms division operations, including but not limited to Front Office, Housekeeping and Pacific Club Lounge. The objective being the assurance of a seamless and efficient operations by providing quality service and product offerings, in line with Pan Pacific Hotels\' & Group\'s Brand guidelines.

Act as a central point of contact for operational activities, initiatives and standards within Rooms Division between the operational teams and the Executive Committee. Work, communicate and cooperate with all other Business Units to achieve the overall Hotel goals.

Provide strategy and planning to drive operations while delivering administrative support in the areas of manning, identifying and improving our associates\' competencies in facilitating positive guest relationships towards creating memorable guest experiences before, during and after their stay. He/She is to ensure quality and authenticity of offerings and service across all Divisional business units in order to consistently deliver memorable hotel experiences for all guests.

Talent Profile

Primary Responsibilities:

  • To strategically deliver the hotel goals and vision as a member of the Executive Team
  • To have a relentless focus on guest service ensuring the Hotel\'s service DNA are embodied within the department and a seamless guest experience is consistently delivered
  • To be a role model and align guest service values within the division
  • To build effective relationships utilizing a service-focused, energized and authentic leadership style, by regularly liaising with other departments and divisions to ensure good communication and support
  • To demonstrate leadership and management of an efficient and effective operation in which all associates understand the key drivers of the business and are held accountable for their performance
  • To show high visibility in the department during peak periods of business
  • To build associates motivation, morale and ensure turnover is minimal
  • To timely empower, train and coach associates to improve operational and service capabilities
  • To review divisional SOP\'s on a regular basis
  • To monitor productivity of the division and implement corrective strategies
  • To utilize performance management processes to identify and celebrate consistently high performance and actively manage sub-standard performance.
  • To identify associates and ensure talent management and succession management processes are implemented
  • To implement the business plan in the division
  • To apply commercial acumen and a business understanding to drive for results
  • To strive to achieve the agreed financial and non-financial key performance objectives
Requirement:
  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Hospitality or Hotel Management or equivalent
  • At least 10 years\' experience in Rooms Division with 5 years in managerial capacity
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the front office functions of Opera or equivalent Property Management Systems and other software that is essential in managing Rooms operations and manpower
  • Demonstrate ability to handle complaints and challenges professionally
  • An efficient and effective multi-tasker who have effective time management skills
  • Strong in analytical and problem-solving skillset
  • Able to work alongside teams and build up on morale and capabilities
