Job Description


The Director of Operations is responsible for managing the 0perational aspects in Raffles Hotel Singapore including Food and Beverage, Culinary, Rooms, Security, Engineering, Raffles Spa, Floral Boutique and Raffles Boutique. The incumbent leads the departments in the delivery of the guest service experience throughout the entire guest journey with operational excellence.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Strategizes and leads the management and operational teams in delivering the guest experience for Raffles Hotel Singapore.
  • Leads the teams in the development and implementation of strategic plan, long and short- term goals.
  • Manages the operations by regularly reviewing and ensuring a seamless flow of processes together with the stakeholders; analyses and evaluates opportunities for innovative enhancements.
  • Ensures compliance to the Brand Standard, Leading Quality Assurance (LQA) and Forbes 5 Star Standards; and achieve the key performance indicators set.
  • Meets and greets guests with the aim to build long lasting relationships with all guests.
  • Ensures operations and processes are in compliance to legal and statutory requirements.
  • Assists in managing the hotel\xe2\x80\x99s budget and ensuring that expenses incurred are within budget and in line with the established guidelines.
  • Constantly identifies new revenue opportunities and improvements to existing revenue streams and upsell schemes.
  • Oversees the management of capital expenditure and projects for the year.
  • Ensures accurate monthly forecasting and accrual submission and responsible for annual budgeting with focus on profitability and productivity.
  • Leads and ensures environmentally friendly practices are implemented in accordance to internal requirements and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Initiates and drives new product improvements and projects.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Degree, preferably in hospitality or related field.
  • Relevant experience with at least 5 years in a senior management role.
  • Possesses strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong leadership skill, with ability to lead various teams and stakeholders.
  • Possesses sound financial knowledge in managing the revenue and expenses of the hotel.
  • Service - oriented with an eye for detail.
