About the Position The Director of Sales - Asia will be responsible for the establishment and expansion of the client base in Asia, while providing local guidance and mentoring of staff to achieve yearly business plans. The incumbent will manage all aspects of the Whispir Asia business including P&L, pipeline, sales, and channel selection. This role will provide sales coaching and deal strategy advice to sales teams, via a mixture of hands-on client engagement and structured deal reviews. Regular sales cadence and performance reviews against quarterly business objectives will be conducted. As a seasoned, talented enterprise and midmarket sales leader, you'll know how to plan and execute comprehensive account pursuits and transactional business in collaboration with our channel partners. You will mentor and coach more junior members of the sales team and thrive in a fast-paced technology environment. Key Responsibilities Overview

  • Ensure Whispir's market position and capabilities are clearly understood and promoted within channel partner organisations within region.
  • Constantly seek opportunities to create synergies for Whispir, our partners, our sales force and our joint customers.
  • Work with sales resources (internally) and joint client teams (externally) on specific deals to maximise the client value created and deal win probability.
  • Provide oversight and assume overall responsibility for channel pipeline and signings growth for the achievement of business plans.
  • Support the sales strategy and formal program functions for Whispir in close consultation with the CRO
  • Assume overall responsibility for pipeline, signings and revenue achievement in accordance with assigned business plan within your territory;
  • Directly contribute to increased pipeline and revenue/EBITDA growth
  • Support the channel partner strategy to ensure that our relationships enhance Whispir's competitive position and our channel partners bring Whispir valuable qualified opportunities.
  • Engage channel partners to uncover valuable qualified opportunities and work with the relevant business areas to capitalise on these opportunities
  • Provide Weekly and Monthly Reporting and insightful analysis on sales to date, forecasts and channel partners achievements.
  • In collaboration with the CRO, establish personal milestones and targets within Whispir
  • Contribute to the businesses OPEX and CapEx goal achievements
  • Collaborate with other Whispir teams for ongoing retention and growth strategy for assigned accounts;
  • Mentor and coach sales leaders in your team;
  • Build and maintain effective executive relationships in strategic channel partners;
  • Represent Whispir at Channel and industry events.

  • Strong business and sales acumen – the ability to critically analyse and qualify customer and partner business and develop bespoke solutions and strategies

Experience
  • Minimum 10 years' enterprise sales experience, preferably within the enterprise software or SaaS industry
  • Experience and professional network within strategic channels
  • Demonstrable track record of closing new business solutions and achieving sales plan
  • Demonstrable track record of pipeline generation and management
  • Familiar with Solution Selling methodology and uncovering customer's business issues
  • Tertiary qualified or equivalent
