Opening 2nd Quarter 2023, Pan Pacific Orchard presents the pinnacle of design by award-winning WOHA, located in Singapore\'s prime district Orchard Road.

The 23-floor destination hotel redefines the city\'s landscape with four themed open-air terraces of distinctive design concepts - Forest, Beach, Garden and Cloud.

Nestled amidst the Forest Terrace is new signature restaurant Mosella, which will introduce a sharing concept of Mediterranean cuisine with a refreshing Peruvian twist. The Beach Terrace will bring a resort-like experience to the heart of the city, and above, the Garden Terrace will be home to Florette, the Champagne & Oysters specialty bar. At the highest levels of the Cloud Terrace, level 18 will house Orchard\'s highest pillarless ballroom, Claymore Ballroom.

The Role

Be part of the pre-opening team of PAN PACIFIC ORCHARD, SINGAPORE to redefine the city\'s landscape.

Our Expectations

The Director of Sales leads and manages all day-to-day activities related to the hotel\'s room sales function with a focus on implementation of sales activities and building of long-term value-based customer relationships that enable the achievement of hotel\'s sales and revenue objectives. Maintains accountability for verifying that the team maximizes revenue opportunities by up-selling and business solicitation. He / She will oversee and supervise all corporate, leisure and group segment managed by the team.

  • Assist with the development, implementation and execution of sales promotions / initiatives and campaigns.
  • Closely monitor account revenue and business production. Adjust strategies, procedures or account coverage as needed to achieve the planned goals.
  • Lead and support the team to solicit and develop accounts base for both leisure, corporate and group segments.
  • Keep abreast of the current and future competitor\'s performance, product enhancement, pricing and sales programs and deploys resources to efficiently optimize Revpar and market share to achieve the leading market position.
  • Partake in the preparation and development of the Annual Business/Marketing Plan; keeping abreast of the progress of strategies and action plans outlined.
  • Work closely with the Director of Catering Sales and Event Services to create, implement and execute annual sales plan addressing revenue, customers and sales activity plan based on owned portfolio to achieve the overall catering segment. This includes the sourcing, booking and development of new catering business.
  • Develop and implement annual sales activity plan with measurable targets and expense budget to achieve budgeted revenue.
  • Work closely with the department sales leads to ensure understanding of sales strategies and effective implement these strategies for the appropriate segment.
  • Conduct quarterly account review with the sales team to identify opportunities and revenue generation from the specific accounts.
  • Ensure that the Sales team generate transient, group meetings and catering leads with close follow-up and monitoring of leads leading to conversion.
  • Actively participate and shares current market intelligence of the market and competitive set during the weekly group and revenue meeting.
  • Recommend contracted room pricing including but not limited to corporate, leisure, long stay, group etc, ensuring maximum revenue generation.
  • Personally handle and actively supervises the management of key accounts, participating in sales calls with the team to acquire new business and/or close on
  • business.
  • Involve in the day-to-day pricing discussion with the Director of Revenue and Director of Sales & Marketing to secure business leads.
  • Actively participate and shares current market intelligence of the market and competitive set during the weekly group and revenue meeting.
  • Actively participate in regular revenue strategy meetings and implement actions relevant to sales.
Talent Profile

We are looking for a self-motivated leader with strong business acumen and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. He / She is driven with ability to motivate and lead the Sales team in generating business for the hotel. You should have an eye for detail yet creative and nimble with ability to adapt to ever changing requirements and needs of customers. If you have at least 8 to 10 years of experience in sales, preferably with a luxury brand and have managed a team, write in to have a chat with us!
