The individual will work with our highly skilled team delivering best-in-class strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services to our leading clients in the strategic planning, design and execution of major projects and programmes across the Asia region. This role will be a part of our Major Projects Advisory Group (\xe2\x80\x9cMPAG\xe2\x80\x9d) offering in region and will play a significant part in the continued expansion of our team and our services in this exciting period of growth covering focus areas such as sustainable procurement, transformation, renewables, digital procurement and net zero strategies.

The Director, Procurement will:

  • Drive and lead change in the largest organisations in region
  • Engage on and influence large scale flagship projects and programmes
  • Have visible impact and leadership across multiple industries and categories

  • Create new and innovative service offerings to the market
  • Lead in the development and rollout of capability comprising an outstanding team of specialist procurement and other consultants in our hub offices
Technical Competencies/Expectations
  • Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to global, regional and local clients.
  • Lead , advise and support end to end procurement services on major projects or programmes
  • Lead and support the development of the procurement services provided by Turner & Townsend in Asia
  • Lead and develop a team to achieve successful outcomes for our clients
  • Lead and manage client relationships and related commission outputs and deliverables
  • Lead and support business development and marketing undertaken by our market teams across Asia
  • Lead on bid preparation and proposal documentation and support the work winning capability of the contract services division.
  • Support the delivery of both team and wider business targets
  • Lead and develop key strategies and documentation for major procurement projects that complies with relevant market standards
  • Manage and supervise the delivery of others for a successful outcome.
  • Build strong, professional client relationships and proactively identify and resolve client issues.
  • Able to develop supplier evaluation and commercial principles and modelling strategies.
  • Able to develop supply chain Intelligence strategies and analysis.
  • Able to develop supplier relationship management, management strategies and activities
  • Able to manage work/business development/career development activities.

Qualifications
  • Leading strategic major procurement projects or programmes for public and/or private sector clients.
  • A strong background in tender preparation, development and management ideally including negotiation.
  • Commission, client relationship, and people management
  • Experience of developing and using various forms of contracts with particular focus on FIDIC, NEC, SIA or equivalent forms
  • Have achieved, working towards or willing to work towards MCIPs accreditation.
  • Business generation including bid development.
  • Preferably possess degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law or procurement
