What the role is:The Director/ Safety, Security and Emergency in the Infrastructure and Facility Services Division leads a team of policy staffers, emergency planners and trainers to maintain a high state of operations readiness and safety standards for MOE. The portfolio involves overseeing the safety, security, emergency and operations readiness in MOE Headquarters (HQ) and MOE educational institutions, including the conduct of emergency training and exercises.What you will be working on:

  • Oversee the safety, security and emergency aspects of MOE which covers both MOE HQ and educational institutions \xe2\x80\xa2 Represent MOE at national level safety, security and emergency planning platforms and meetings \xe2\x80\xa2 Coordinate and liaise with external agencies on national emergency plans development and related matters, and in times of an actual emergency \xe2\x80\xa2 Participate in emergency exercises held in conjunction with other agencies and support the conduct of emergency exercises for MOE HQ and educational institutions \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop, refine and test the Ministry\'s emergency plans in consultation with internal stakeholders as well as with external stakeholders such as MHA, MOM, MOH, SPF and SCDF \xe2\x80\xa2 Develop and implement safety and security policies and plans (including guidelines, standard operating procedures), and oversee security readiness and safety standards in MOE HQ and educational institutions (e.g. develop and conduct safety and emergency training (workshops and courses) to prepare MOE HQ and schools to respond to safety and emergency situations)
What we are looking for:
  • At least 15 years of experience in the areas of safety, security and emergency planning, including 5 years in senior appointment \xe2\x80\xa2 A dynamic individual with excellent leadership quality \xe2\x80\xa2 Possess good writing, operational planning and communication skills In general, applicants can expect to hear from us within 3 weeks of the close of the application window.
