As a pivotal member of the Sr. Leadership team, this position will play a crucial role in:
Overseeing the APAC Solutions Engineering team, ensuring its effectiveness and alignment with overall business objectives, including:
Direct alignment to the APAC Sales Leadership at Verkada
Educate customer executives & installers on Verkada products, programs, promotions, pricing and sales campaigns
Design Verkada solutions that range from physical deployment and recommendations to Verkada best practices and Network Security recommendations/bandwidth requirements
Work closely with product management, assist in localization and product adoption in respective regions
Leading budgeting and planning conversations with Strategic Finance and Sales Strategy and Operation Leadership
This position will be directly managing a team of APAC Solutions Engineers, including both individual contributors and people managers.
Ongoing mentoring and development of the SE team which includes recruiting, hiring and coaching new SEs
Assist SEs in closing highly complex transactions through the development of executive-level relationships with key partners and the sales team
Act as the additional liaison/advocate between the Solutions Engineering and Sales teams.
This position is expected to require traveling 30-50% of the time, including travel to both national and international destinations.
Qualifications
Demonstrated leadership success as a technical presales Sr. Manager/Director for the last 4 years within a similar company (L2+)
Experience with Solutions Engineering roles
Experience working at a cloud and network infrastructure focused company with hardware / software exposure required (experience working in the Physical Security industry desired but not required)
Demonstrated success in directly leading a high-performing Solutions Engineering team within a sales environment
Experience building and scaling technical pre-sales teams and eager to spearhead an emerging segment
Proven leadership in international cross-functional collaboration; experience leading teams covering the following geos/countries (Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Australia, New Zealand)
Experience working at high-growth stage businesses desired but not required
