We are looking for Commercial Director, ASEAN to strategies, implement and achieve sales goals for the assigned countries. The leader would achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets with the aim of deeper market penetration and maintain outstanding customer relationships. The individual will also be responsible for creating and executing coherent product differentiation for ASP products, play an important role in growing share, empower and add value to product, applications, and the team of our direct commercial team and channel partner on the ground to this fast paced and mission critical effort.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Under limited supervision, general direction, etc. and in accordance with all applicable government laws, regulations and ASP policies, procedures and guidelines, this position:

  • Create, implement, and improvise commercial strategies and activities to achieve sales goals for the country.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual targets for the country for each product segment.
  • Maintaining outstanding relationship with customers, build a key opinion leader advisory and partnership with related society and academic societies.
  • Define and implement the optimal channel structure.
  • Developing distributors/ channel partners in the market to increase coverage, visibility, and share.
  • Appoint and manage team of area managers, product manager, sales specialists, and field service engineers in the country.
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales and service team via hiring and strong retention, and in collaboration with the Fortive team and functional leaders.
  • Ensures team members/direct reports manage assigned customers well while meeting their deliverables and sales targets effectively.
  • Looks after learning, engagement, and career development of the direct reports.
  • Implement a culture and business practices based on the Fortive Business System and high employee engagement, which will include kaizen calendar, FBS Champion Program, operating review, funnel management, and Policy Deployment efforts.
  • Develop appropriate pricing strategies for the country to increase penetration, gain share and drive profitability
  • Launch new products
  • Responsible for communicating business related issues or opportunities to next management level
  • Lead/design product configurations and product offering to meet customer needs of different market segments in the country.
  • Oversee order fulfillment by working closely with internal stakeholders such as RA, QA, CS, Logistics, Marketing and Order management team to remove key hurdles to drive on time delivery.
  • Empower channel partner to win more by selling as consultants to the customer, through both classroom and workshops and field customer swings.
  • Handle product escalations from direct sales team and channel partners that cannot be resolved by the in-country team.
  • Work closely with global team as focal point for any product related communications and escalations.
  • Lead and develop product market strategy
  • Lead new indication needs and market entry strategies
  • Adequately respond to competitive threats
  • Drive teamwork and innovation to build differentiation for the brands in the portfolio
Education:

Bachelor's Degree in engineering, science, business, communication, science or similar

Years of Related Experience:

Country Sales Manager/Commercial/business leader or similar (minimum 7 years)

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Certifications/Licenses, and Affiliations:
  • Managed commercial (sales or product specialists and marketing) and service team in ASEAN
  • Passionate, hungry for success and over-achievement
  • Possess a track record in delivering commercial success
  • Led a team with supervisory responsibilities
  • Healthcare experience
  • Experience with indirect channel/distributors or third-party sales commission agents
  • Strong customer centricity
  • New product launch experience in healthcare
  • Able to develop and implement a sales strategy for a multi- national organization
  • Able to communicate with global teams concisely and effectively
  • Ability to work with all types of clients and team members, using strong customer service skills
  • Enable the team to aggressively prospect, identify, qualify, and develop pipeline
  • Able to independently make decisions and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills
  • Can follow a process and procedures and make recommendations for improvement
  • Quick learner with new subject matter, relative to the systems and the business
  • Extremely dependable and reliable
  • Must possess excellent value-based sales methodology, high aptitude to collaborate in a decentralized environment
  • Post-merger integration experience is a plus
  • Business level English
  • Effectiveness in managing and leading in a matrix-structure
