Job Duties and Responsibilities

This role is primarily responsible for leading the re-engineering of the flow of the Parts network from source to distribution eliminating redundant touches, reducing the distance material travels, and improving velocity while optimizing cost.

This position is responsible for acting as a champion and advocate for Lean, providing training and coaching to internal customers such as Distribution Center Operations and other transactional areas of the business.

Leads 2-3 moderately complex projects at a time starting from project chartering, solution design, implementation and through to stabilization.

Monitors progress of projects, discusses problems with affected areas, assures appropriate personnel are informed of problems and steps are in place to meet project timelines.

Establishes relationships and collaborates with business partners such as; Global Parts Supply, Logistics Information Systems, Distribution Center Operations, Transportation, Inventory Management, Facility Engineering, and Packaging to monitor and correct value chain defects and deliver process improvements through Lean engineering concepts.

The position often confronts complex issues or problems which require careful analysis and diagnosis. Problems are often unique, and solutions can require original approaches. The incumbent may modify existing approaches or develop new solutions to improve quality, velocity and cost across the business.

This position will also support the development and implementation of playbooks and other solutions alongside Distribution Center Operations and Facility Engineering.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor degree or higher, preferably related to Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration, Engineering.

Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible job-related experience in manufacturing or aftermarket supply chain, manufacturing or distribution warehouse operations, transportation, or industrial engineering

Comfortable gathering, interpreting, and presenting data to high-level management.

Strong organizational, program management and change management skills.

Strong interpersonal and emotional intelligence skills, ability to work successfully across multiple layers within the organization and with multiple business partners.

Top Candidates Will Also Have

Experience leading Lean Kaizen events and/or RIWs/VSTs.

Previous 6 Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt Experience.

Experience leading or participating in supply chain, logistics, or distribution or warehouse-oriented projects.

Experience with data and analytics and/or Power BI.

Warehouse Management Systems experience including but not limited to SAP\'s EWM.
