Role Overview

The Mid-Level Drafter plays a key role in translating design concepts into precise technical documentation for construction. This position requires a strong command of interior detailing, coordination with consultants, and familiarity with site conditions.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare detailed and accurate construction drawings, including plans, elevations, sections, and shop drawings. Develop detailed documentation for carpentry, ceiling, partition, and M&E coordination. Review and cross-check drawings for consistency and constructability. Work closely with designers and project managers to ensure design intent and technical feasibility align. Coordinate revisions based on client feedback, consultant input, and site progress. Maintain organized drawing files and ensure proper documentation standards. Liaise with contractors and suppliers to resolve technical issues during construction.

Requirements

Diploma or Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or equivalent. 3-5 years' experience in interior design drafting or fit-out documentation. Proficient in AutoCAD; experience with SketchUp or Revit is advantageous. Strong technical understanding of interior construction, joinery, materials, and detailing. Able to interpret design drawings and convert them into fully detailed technical drawings. Meticulous attention to detail and adherence to project timelines. Familiarity with local building codes and submission standards preferred.

Preferred Qualities

Experience in commercial, gallery, or corporate interior projects. Proactive communicator with good coordination and problem-solving skills. * Capable of handling multiple projects independently with minimal supervision.
