Overview:

Element has an opportunity for a

Drilling Operator

to join our rapidly expanding team. In this role, you will perform a variety of routine and non-routine machining assignments within the department assigned and insures timely and accurate test results under direct supervision.

This role is based in Kaki Bukit, Singapore.


Responsibilities:
Proficient in operating drilling rig and perform drilling process safely and efficiently Consistent in collecting good quality soil and rock samples Able to assist geologist to conduct in-situ soil testing Able to carry out drilling and installation of borehole instruments such as water stand pipe, piezometer and inclinometer Perform daily safety and maintenance checks o ensure rig is in good working condition at all times Practice workplace safety and always follow the safe work procedures

Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Hands-on job & sound mechanical bias Previous experience in an appropriate Engineering environment is an advantage Experience of working within a Mechanical testing environment is advantageous An understanding of a recognised Quality Management Systems such as ISO 17025 is beneficial Self motivated Technician with the ability to multi task, organise and work under the pressure of a busy commercial mechanical test laboratory Excellent attention to detail & strong written and verbal communication skills A team player attitude & excellent analytical and problem solving skills
