Job Description

Responsibilities:

• Complies with all statutory requirements as well as in-house Health, Safety & Environmental program.
• Ensures that logistic equipment / vehicles are in good order condition prior to operation. Report any defects which requires immediate repairs to the supervisor and records in the checklist.
• Observes the working area before lifting and ensures that there is a minimum space for the equipment to maneuver and reports any obstruction to the supervisor.
• Ensures that materials are transported / lifted efficiently and safely.
• Operates the assigned heavy vehicle - prime mover, lorry crane & transporter
• Complies with all statutory requirements as well as in-house Health, Safety, Environmental & Quality (HSEQ) program.
• Reports all sub-standard condition, equipment, practices and incompatible work process.
• Reports all injuries to their supervisor, however minor and near misses.
• Uses all the required Personal Protective Equipment provided to them.
• Participates in all planned HSEQ program.
• Ensures that materials are transported within stipulated schedules and in good condition.
• Transports VIPs, ship owners, company directors to the required destination safely, where applicable.
• Performs all other routine assignments such as (dispatch duties in city area, collection of letters from post office etc.), where applicable
• Maintains the general cleanliness of logistic equipment.
• Any other associated tasks and responsibilities assigned from time to time.

Requirements:

• Primary education and/or relevant working experience. Possess valid authorized driving license class 3, 4 or 5 etc.
• Minimum 2 years\' experience in operating material handling vehicles/equipment.
• Ability to operate any other logistic equipment / vehicles apart from specific operating equipment / vehicles. Fairly knowledgeable with Singapore roads & industrial areas, where applicable.
• Sound knowledge of safety requirements when operating logistic equipment / material handling vehicles/equipment.
• Able to communicate in simple English (both written & verbal )
• Able to operate any other logistic equipment and basic knowledge of vehicle\'s engine repairs would be an added advantage.
• Able to work long hours during weekdays, weekends, public holidays and nightshift when required.
