What the role is:The Waste Infrastructure and Engineering Division (WIED) oversees the planning, engineering design and development of all NEA waste management infrastructure.What you will be working on:The officer will play an active role in the planning, development and management of future solid waste management facilities such as Waste-to-Energy plant and food waste treatment plant that will contribute towards the targets set forth under the SG Greenplan 2030. The work scope and responsibilities include the following:Develop the various waste management facilities, obtain planning approval and funding supportPlan and implement project schedules to ensure timely project executionAdminister the procurement process to select and appoint project consultants and contractors, including preparation of tender documentsManage consultants in carrying out feasibility/prelim design/detailed design studiesSupervise consultants/contractors and carry out site inspections to ensure that the waste management facilities are developed in a timely and cost-effective manner, in compliance with the tender requirementsManage funding and budget planning cycles for projectsWork and liaise with various internal and external stakeholders of projectsWhat we are looking for:Degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical or Environmental Engineering is preferred.
