Workplace Options is seeking a qualified Fulltime EAP Clinical Counselor to join our clinical team in Singapore. Our clinical department provides counseling services on a global scale including but not limited to clinical telephonic support, structured short-term solution-focused counseling, crisis support, psycho educational workshops and trainings.

Shift hours : 9AM to 6PM SGT (Sun-Thu)

Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Provide telephonic counseling, in-the moment support and crisis telephonic management in a supportive, ethical and professional manner while maintaining client-confidentiality.
  • Adhere to ethical, therapeutic and legal standards, which govern clinical service delivery, as well as policies, procedures and laws, which apply to the organization and country, as appropriate.
  • Maintain clear clinical and task-oriented documentation in case management system.
  • Possess genuine listening skills and can provide short-term clinical interventions such as Motivational Interviewing and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy techniques.
  • Ability to work with clients presenting with a variety of issues not limited to substance abuse, situations of crisis, mental health symptoms and/or family/relationship-related concerns impacting personal or work performance.
  • Assess clients thoroughly to ensure clinical appropriateness of short-term counseling.
  • Flexibility with regards to schedule with a need to cover some public holidays.
  • Any other tasks identified by leadership.
Requirements:

  • Master\xe2\x80\x99s Degree in Counseling, Psychology or the equivalent.
  • Full member of Singapore Psychological Society, Singapore Association for Counseling, Singapore Association of Social Workers or its equivalent.
  • Member of the Singapore Registrar of Psychologists, with eligibility for registration or its equivalent.
  • Minimum two years post-masters\xe2\x80\x99 direct client-contact experience or 500 hours of direct client contact hours.
  • Effectively bilingual (in any other language) having excellent command of English both in speech and writing.
  • Self-directed with the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Excellent IT and administration skills.
  • Additional crisis support, coaching and/or training experience/qualifications an advantage.
  • Ability to work weekend shifts an advantage.
