A full-time position offers non-contact time within a Monday - Friday work schedule for meetings, reflections and documentation tasks. Termly events that fall on Saturdays include Open Houses, Professional Development, Team Bonding Experiences and Community Events, which bring us together across Blue House.

Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborating with other educators to implement best practices and respectful nurturing and care to children aged 18 months to 6 years old.
  • Creating an emergent curriculum that is developmentally appropriate and aligned with our Reggio Emilia-inspired pedagogy.
  • Lead parent communications in-person and via online platforms, displaying strong communications skills, providing a nurturing, cooperative approach to parent relationships in a multi-cultural community.
  • Ensure a clean, safe and enriching environment for children\xe2\x80\x99s explorations
  • Engage in reflective practice using planning and observation tools provided
  • Prepare documentation pieces for families and school environments, showcasing children\xe2\x80\x99s learning and educator\xe2\x80\x99s reflections
  • Coordinate parent events for festivals, exhibitions, field trips and parent volunteering opportunities
  • Parent events will take place termly in the evenings for celebrations and parent-teacher evenings, but these are pre-planned in the academic calendar, which runs from January to December.

Pre-Requisites:
  • A Diploma or Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Early Childhood Education. Fresh graduates welcomed.
  • 3 or more years of working experience with children under 6 is preferred.
  • Training or experience of working within a Reggio Emilia-inspired context will be an advantage, but training can also be provided on the job.
