Instructional Designer
(Public healthcare Cluster; central/S. West location)

Our client is one of three public healthcare clusters and an integrated general hospital in Singapore that offers holistic care from acute, sub-acute to rehabilitative settings and reduces the need for a patient to transfer to another healthcare institution.

Transformation Team, Healthcare Redesign Department
The Healthcare Redesign department (HCRD) is responsible for driving technology-enabled care transformation in the Hospital, to deliver quality healthcare that is safe, efficient, and value-driven. The Transformation Team supports HCRD to transform Hospital staff learning, from beyond the classroom to an engaging and interactive digital learning experience, as part of the Hospital\xe2\x80\x99s learning and improvement culture.

Key responsibilities would include:

  • Create engaging learning activities and compelling course content suitable for learners across different profiles in healthcare environment using Articulate 360.
  • Work with subject matter experts to identify target audience\'s learning needs.
  • Apply appropriate learning theories to practical, application-based learning strategies.
  • Analyse and apply trends and best practices in learning technologies and design.
  • Collaborate with other learning professionals and stakeholders to enhance the learning experience of learners.
  • Develop supporting material/media assets (audio, video, simulations, role plays, animations, etc.).
  • Create digital artworks for enhancing digital learning experience, publicity EDMs and other infographics instructional content.
  • Devise different modes of assessment (online and physical), such as tests, quizzes, assignments, etc., and align the assessments to the intended learning outcomes.
  • Manage and oversee the full life cycle of learning projects, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring quality of course deliverables.
  • Assess impactfulness and effectiveness of learning solutions for achieving stakeholders\' intended outcomes.
  • Source for and evaluate appropriate Digital Learning tools / software applications to be used.
Requirements
  • Degree or post-graduate degree qualification preferably in Instructional/Learning Design, Educational Technology or a related field in Education and Training.
  • Previous working experience in learning/instructional design for at least 3 years, such as designing and developing scenario-based learning, video, micro-learning, and simulations.
  • Experience in graphic designing (e.g. Iconography, Infographics, etc.) preferred.
  • Experience in creating 2D animations (e.g. bite- explanatory stories, GIFs, etc.) preferred.
  • Proficiency with industry standard digital software (Articulate 360, vYond animation, Filmora, Adobe Suite, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of instructional design methodology and principles.
  • Ability to write effective storyboard, instructional text, audio, and video scripts.
  • Knowledge of online Learning technologies and their application in Blended Learning Environments.
  • Basic knowledge of Learning Management Systems (e.g. Wizlearn) is preferred
  • Good analytical skills and meticulous.
  • Good communication, writing and presentation skills.
  • Able to work independently or in a team with minimal supervision.
NOTE: The selected candidate/s will be required to showcase his/her portfolio for samples of eLearning / multimedia products (e.g. videos or animations) and graphic designs (e.g. EDM, poster).
