Roles & Responsibilities

• Assist the curriculum team at Academia Education Centre to develop and enhance learning materials for students ranging from primary school to junior college
• Assist teachers with teaching and hosting lessons, whether physical or online, including managing students in classroom, when required
• Assisting with marking and review of students’ work, according to centre's standard
• Interns are also given the freedom to develop engaging educational content to be delivered in print and/or digital platforms
• Positions are available for Primary English level, Secondary O Level English, IP English and JC General Paper
• Credit-based internship applications are also welcome to apply for full-time internship.
  

Profile and background

• A strong background and proficiency with English language is most important, English majors will be especially welcome but not absolutely required. Undergraduates majoring in humanities and social sciences are also a good fit.
• A good work ethic, and be able to communicate effectively and manage the expectations not only of parents and students, but also the teachers.
• Willingness and ability to work on weekends, minimum 3 workdays per week (ability to commit 1 weekend per week will be a bonus)
• Be able to work independently and synthesize content and research materials from various sources
• Interns should deploy creativity, meticulousness and rigor when developing educational content, in line with the high standards of the organization
