JOB DESCRIPTION

Department: ME Planning & Integration Dept (Manufacturing Engineering) Report to: Machine Efficiency Improvement Section (MER) Functional Relationships with: All departments in Murata (Tuas)

POSITION PROFILE

Based in: Singapore (Tuas); The successful candidate will work closely with manufacturing to optimize the total production system through strong collaboration with other departments

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support updating of data into system related to improvement of uptime and overall capability and to clarify the issues and areas of focus using data visualization
• Support New Model Introduction and Capital Investments documentation work
• Use process capability study to implement and test new procedures/methods to optimize productivity and machine efficiency through a logical approach
• Work on continuous improvement in data visualization through soft skills and knowledge
• Prepare and update improvement progress and results periodically
• Share reports with relevant co-work departments and cross-functional teams
• Any other ad hoc duties assigned

• Diploma in Engineering
• 2 years of working experience in the manufacturing sector/process engineering or machine installation will be an advantage (No experience, fresh graduates also welcome)
• Able to work well in a team while being independent and proactive
• Eager to learn
• Strong communication and good people skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
• Willing to work overtime on workdays and during weekends when needed
