Ehs Engineer (construction Background)
Job Description
We are seeking a proactive and passionate EHS Engineer with 3 - 5 years of experience in the construction industry to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and are committed to driving safety, health, and environmental excellence across diverse project sites.
You will collaborate closely with project teams to implement robust EHS measures, conduct inspections, ensure full compliance with regulatory requirements and drive for EHS excellence. You'll also be exposed to digital EHS platforms and structured development pathways - including support for certifications such as the Specialist Diploma in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH). Candidates with WSH Level B or C certifications are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
Partner with project teams to plan and implement site-specific safety and environmental controls. Ensure compliance with MOM, NEA, BCA, and other statutory requirements. Lead subcontractor management and engagement in EHS matters to foster a proactive culture. Champion the adoption of digital tools for workforce tracking and EHS documentation. Proactively engage stakeholders (including clients, consultants, and authorities) on EHS matters. Support ISO 45001 and other management systems; participate in internal audits and reviews. Analyze safety data and trends to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements
Degree in Construction Engineering or related discipline. 3-5 years of relevant EHS experience in construction projects. Familiarity with ISO 45001 and other safety management systems. Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and improvement.
