Job Description

As an EHS Specialist, you will lead OE initiatives, conduct safety training, manage inspections, and promote a proactive safety culture. You will also play a key role in integrating OE programs into departmental business plans and ensuring alignment with company objectives.


Key Responsibilities



Lead and support the implementation of the Operational Excellence (OE) System, ensuring compliance with company policies and directives. Set OE goals and targets, evaluate resource requirements, and establish success metrics. Promote active employee involvement in OE initiatives and communicate safety policies effectively. Integrate OE programs into departmental business plans and coach staff on OE compliance. Conduct safety training, orientations, and briefings for employees and contractors. Inspect, test, and maintain safety and fire equipment; ensure accurate inspection records. Maintain adequate safety supplies and documentation for EHS management systems. Perform industrial hygiene surveys and environmental monitoring activities. Coordinate and participate in incident investigations; identify root causes and recommend preventive actions. Prepare monthly EHS statistics. Participate in facility safety inspections, audits, and EHS Self Review programs. Provide first aid and arrange medical treatment for serious injuries. Support implementation of Responsible Care (RC) codes, SS 651, and Process Safety Management (PSM). Maintain the OE System manual and ensure compliance with EHS and quality policies. Stay updated on developments in safety, fire prevention, and environmental management. Participate actively in EHS meetings, activities, and suggestion schemes. Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

Qualifications & Skills



Bachelor's degree in science, Engineering or equivalent. Registered Workplace Safety and Health Officer with Ministry of Manpower Certified Fire Safety Manager by Singapore Civil Defence Force At least 3 years' working experience in a petrochemical plant or oil refinery Proficient in incident investigation, safety audits, and EHS reporting Experience with application of Singapore Workplace Safety and Health Regulations and Singapore Codes of Practice Working knowledge in Process Safety and Risk Management principles Experience in Safety Case an added advantage Highly motivated and be a self-starter, able to organize and manage multiple tasks concurrently as well as work with limited supervision * Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments
