A Process Plant E&I (Electrical and Instrumentation) Technician is responsible for:





Key Responsibilities


Maintaining and repairing electrical and instrumentation systems: Performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical and instrumentation equipment. Installing and commissioning new electrical and instrumentation systems: Installing and testing new equipment, and ensuring it is functioning correctly. Troubleshooting and resolving electrical and instrumentation issues: Identifying and resolving problems with electrical and instrumentation systems, using diagnostic tools and techniques. Performing calibration and testing of instrumentation: Calibrating and testing instrumentation equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability. Collaborating with other teams: Working with operations, maintenance, and engineering teams to ensure smooth plant operations. Following safety procedures and protocols: Ensuring that all work is performed safely, and adhering to plant safety procedures and protocols.


Skills and Qualifications


Strong technical knowledge: Understanding of electrical and instrumentation systems, including design, operation, and maintenance. Practical skills: Ability to perform hands-on maintenance, repairs, and installations. Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and resolve complex technical issues. Attention to detail: Ensuring that all work is performed accurately and thoroughly. Safety awareness and compliance: Knowledge of safety regulations and protocols, with a strong commitment to safety.
